Transit Pulse: Jakarta
An interactive transit analytics platform that transforms GTFS data into intuitive maps and visualizations for exploring Jakarta's bus network.

01Situation
Jakarta's bus network publishes GTFS data, the standard transit-schedule format, but nothing at the time turned it into something a rider or a planner could actually explore visually.
02Approach
Built a pipeline to parse Jakarta's GTFS feed into trip density and stop-level metrics, then a Mapbox GL front end to visualize daily transit patterns across the network as an interactive heatmap and route explorer.
03Finding
Trip density varies enormously by corridor and time of day in ways a raw schedule table never surfaces, useful both to a curious rider and to anyone evaluating where service is genuinely concentrated.
04Outcome
A live, public analytics platform for exploring Jakarta's bus network.
